Spiritual Gifts

Wow, i think that this is complicated. I have an all-around number with my spiritual gifts, but i still dont know what my strongest are. In the quiz, it says descerning of spirits and teachings are my strongest, but the others are close behind, like Ekballism, Exhortations and others. When i look at these ones, i feel that i really could do something well for Gods purpose. However, my weakest ones are speaking in tongues and translating tongues, which doesnt surprise me, for i havent talked or heard anyone speak in tongues.
In my opinion, God uses the combinations of different gifts to mold and make a person who they are, and i think that when God gives us gifts, we need to use them to their full extend, and be ready to use them. Sadly, I've seen some good gifts i thought could benefit the team (to what our purpose in going there is) not coming to the trip. Maybe it wasnt their time, but i trust the judgement of the Mission's commitee. Let's see how the trip goes!

Which of the gifts you mentioned do you feel most passionate about?

Do you think speaking in tongues is for everyone or just for some people?

What do you make of 1 Corinthians 14:1, which says, "eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy,"?

Well, u know its hard to decide sometimes. I have a few i would really want to have to the fullest, to where i can use them in any place i am. Exhortations is something that i've seen God work a few times, but it's mainly counseling Christians or sharing with them different testimonies. One that really is important for me (which i guess passionate) is discernment, which plainly i want to know whether something is from God or not. With that, wisdom and knowledge comes. Serving is another important one; i love to help in any way i can. Answering ur tongues question, i think tongues is an important gift, where i do think it is a personal touch of the holy spirit in people, but also it is said that every new believer (when they did the laying of hands), received the gift of the Holy spirit. It is an interesting topic, and if i had any gift of tongues, i would choose interpretation of it, to understand what the holy spirit is saying through people. About the prophecy, i would like to hav it, but i would be really careful with that, just as Romans 3:6 says, we should use it according or in proportion to our faith (another important gift). Also, i need to talk to u personally about the topic of healing. Thank you for commenting Andrew :)
